Job summary

JPMorganChase, within Asset and Wealth Management Technology, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will contribute as a core technical member to deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way. You will work on agile teams to enhance, build, and deliver production-grade software.

Responsibilities include developing secure production code, leading AI-assisted engineering adoption, and collaborating with stakeholders across business lines to drive architecture

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience delivering complex distributed system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while establishing validation standards and promoting reuse of effective patterns.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive architectural design assessments and applicability for use within existing systems.
