Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Asset and Wealth Management Technology group to drive design, development and delivery of trusted technology products. You will contribute across multiple areas, including AI-assisted practices, secure coding, and scalable architectures.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead complex distributed systems work, and champion modern engineering standards to ensure performance and reliability in a financial services context.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience delivering distributed system design, production code, testing and operations.
• Strong in Java and cloud native AWS development.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot and Kafka.
• Experience collaborating with technology/business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of agile, CI/CD, resilience and security in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and develops production-ready code.
• Reviews and debugs code, ensuring high quality and security.
• Promotes enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to the team.
• Leverages SDLC tools to improve automation and value delivery.
• Identifies recurring issues and drives remediation for stability.
• Leads evaluation with vendors and internal teams on architecture and applicability.
