Job description

Job Description

Duty: Create virtual in-the-loop environments to enable development, verification, and validation of embedded controllers and calibrations for hybrid, electrification, engine, transmission, chassis, and intelligent brake controls. Deliver quality simulation environment on time to meet customers’ requirements. Work with virtual electronic control units (V-ECUs) for engine, propulsion, and transmission controller modules and integrate them in a system-level simulation model. Participate in modeling of Hybrid Vehicle Systems, including mechatronic subsystems, and debug and deploy subsystem models as system-level simulation components. Create and utilize existing virtual controller models to integrate them to be used across different virtual simulations. Create, maintain, and test virtual controller components, such as HWIO, RTOS, and communication models. Obtain, develop, and parameterize sub-system models, including sensors, actuators, and ECU behavioral models. Integrate Plant models and other ECU models into a dynamic virtual simulation. Create and maintain detailed documents for each release. Provide support for released simulations and assist with user testing and troubleshooting. Develop, integrate, and maintain serial data connectivity links between the co-simulation platform and virtual controllers, models, and tools.

Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as an Application Engineer or related occupation.
  • Two (2) years of experience with the following: Integration of Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) co-simulations, including virtual ECU models, sensor/actuator/plant or system physics models for conventional internal combustion engine or hybrid electric vehicle propulsion systems; Embedded C and Python; MATLAB and Simulink in context of plant model development and integration; GT-Power and AMESIM; Embedded controls software and automated software build processes, including gcc compiler, gdb debugger, Eclipse, Jenkins, and ETAS INCA tools; Automotive communication technologies, such as CAN, LIN, and SPI; Modeling of Hybrid Vehicle Systems, including mechatronic subsystems, in Simulink, Simscape, or GT-Power; and Debug/deploy subsystem models as system-level simulation components.
