Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support the VISTA Inference Processing Team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This on-site role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and integrating advanced software systems, including analytics, real-time processing, and data-intensive applications.

The position requires deep experience, active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, and leadership responsibilities within the software development process.

Qualifications

• AI/ML development or integration experience required.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or Go is essential.
• Experience building high-performance GPU-enabled applications.
• Experience with large-scale streaming data analytic systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Lead software development efforts and mentor junior engineers.
