Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineer to support the FROST program on-site at Schriever SFB, CO. The role involves real-time software for ground equipment control, Java development, and building containerized microservices for various vendor interfaces.

Responsibilities include working with Spring Boot, React front-ends, and Kubernetes deployments, with opportunities to contribute to launch trajectory calculations and space systems operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience; or Master’s with 3+ years.
• On-site at Schriever SFB, CO near Colorado Springs.
• U.S. Citizenship for government positions; CI Poly prior to start may be required.
• Experience and proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Maintain software used to establish connections for status & control of ground equipment.
• Provide Java software development.
• Perform all aspects of software engineering support to implement systems.
• Maintain software for scheduling on-orbit contacts and orbit calculations.
• Write software supporting launch operations with trajectory calculations for SpaceX/ULA.
• Assist with Java development and Spring Boot utilization.
• Develop React-based user interfaces for operator interaction.
• Write microservices interfacing with vendor data processing.
• Deploy containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Assist with extending capabilities to meet new customer requests.
