Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Software Engineer III at Lackland AFB-San Antonio, TX. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, U.S.

citizenship, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 10+ years of software development experience. Responsibilities include evaluating feasibility, documenting solutions, designing system specifications, and leading DevOps and agile development efforts for cloud and non-cloud applications.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship required.
Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience creating, debugging, patching, and maintaining software and/or applications.
Ability to integrate with other organizations/teams.
Ability to develop a highly effective working relationship with the customer.

Responsibilities

Evaluate feasibility by analyzing requirements, problem definitions, and solutions.
Document and demonstrate solutions with clear code and diagrams.
Design system specifications, standards, and programming.
Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes.
Obtain and license software by coordinating with vendors and testing products.
Summarize development issues and provide actionable insights.
Develop software by studying information needs and SDLC.
Plan and implement agile acquisition and SW development techniques.
Plan and implement DevOps processes for cloud and non-cloud apps.
Perform other duties as assigned.
