Job summary

B4Corp, a defense contracting company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Bethesda, MD to design, develop, test, and deploy software for critical systems. You will work in a DevOps framework with Java, Python, JavaScript, and cloud technologies, contributing to architecture, unit testing, and automated deployments.

The role requires TS/SCI with a polygraph and offers up to $235,000 per year, with core hours 9am–4pm.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and at least 12 years of relevant experience; or BS degree and at least 8 years; or Masters degree and at least 6 years.

Responsibilities

• Participates in software programming initiatives using Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate
• Develops software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon and uses integrated custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies
• Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging infrastructure platform services
• Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle following using industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting and leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence to track activities
• Analyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs.
• Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures creating innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.
