Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Level 3) in Bethesda, MD, to design, develop, and maintain software within a DevSecOps framework. The role requires TS/SCI with a polygraph and offers up to $235,000 annually.

Core hours are 9am–4pm, with flexible cross‑training across systems engineering and security disciplines. The ideal candidate has extensive Java/SpringBoot and cloud experience, strong Agile skills, and a track record delivering critical software for defense programs.

Qualifications

• Strong full‑stack development experience in Java, SpringBoot, JavaScript, Python, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Deep understanding of microservices architectures and cloud implementations (AWS).
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation tooling.
• Proficiency with version control, issue tracking, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in an Agile environment and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement using Java and related tech.
• Develop and direct system validation and testing methods (JUnit, Katalon).
• Coordinate with customers, Scrum Masters, and cross‑functional teams to report status and initiatives.
• Analyze data to coordinate installations or modifications of systems.
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle.
• Deploy build artifacts across environments using GitFlow.
• Communicate project data to teammates and reinforce team cohesion.
• Develop and execute project plans; use JIRA and Confluence to track activities.
• Apply SOPs and best practices.
• Create innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
