Job summary

Peraton in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Intelligence Community program from our Chantilly office. You will design, develop, test, and deploy software within an Agile team, collaborating with a range of government and industry partners to deliver integrated solutions.

The role emphasizes secure API development in Python/Java, frontend work with JS frameworks, cloud deployment on AWS, and robust database design.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; four additional years may substitute.
Active TS/SCI clearance with poly is required and must be maintained.
Experience developing secure and well-tested API using Python/Java.
Experience frontend development with JavaScript frameworks.
Experience maintaining, monitoring, and debugging cloud-based software (AWS preferred).
Experience designing performant relational databases and data models.
Experience with Git and code repositories (Bitbucket or GitLab).
Active or ability to obtain DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+ or CISSP) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Research design, development, testing, and utilization of electronic data processing software.
Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems.
Collaborate with analysts and engineers to design systems and interfaces.
Analyze user needs and system capabilities within time and cost constraints.
Ensure software standards are met.
Coordinate software installations and monitor performance to meet specs.
