Job summary

Peraton in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Software Developer for Python/Java to support the Intelligence Community in an agile, high-performance team. You will design, develop, test, and deploy complex software systems within the Enterprise Xcelerator Lab.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage AWS, CI/CD, and secure coding practices to deliver robust solutions on time. A TS/SCI clearance with poly is required, with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; four years in lieu accepted.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with poly; must maintain clearance.
• Experience developing secure and well-tested API using Python/Java.
• Experience developing frontends using JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud deployments, preferably AWS.
• Experience relational database design.
• Git and web-based repositories (Bitbucket or GitLab).
• DoD 8570 certification (Security+ or CISSP) within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test and debug software in an Agile environment.
• Develop secure APIs using Python/Java.
• Build frontends with JavaScript frameworks.
• Maintain cloud deployments, preferably AWS.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Ensure software standards are met and validated.
• Coordinate software installations and monitor performance.
