Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Software Engineer to develop, maintain and enhance complex software systems, including analytics, large data sets, and real-time components. You will work individually or in teams, review code, test results, and support system design decisions with hardware/software trade-offs.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or 18 years of experience in lieu of degree).
• Experience with Python, Docker, AWS, and Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet system performance standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work complies with process constraints.
