Job summary
Base-2 Solutions seeks a Software Engineer Level 1 to develop, maintain, and enhance diverse software systems including analytics, real-time processing, and data-intensive applications. You will design, code, test, and debug software from documented requirements, collaborating with a team to meet performance and scalability goals.
Requirements include TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, 7+ years of software engineering experience, a BS in CS or related field, and strong Java plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience in complex projects.
- Security clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
- Strong Java experience and expertise with MapReduce-based big data processing.
- Experience with NoSQL stores (HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, BigTable) and Hadoop ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Integrate software into new or modified systems or environments.
- Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance standards.
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Lead the team as appropriate to the software development process.
