Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a software engineer to join our team solving challenging customer problems with innovative technical solutions. You will work on analytics, large data sets, real-time systems and data storage in a national defense context.

Ideal candidates have experience or comfort with languages like Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, and Go, plus experience with big data, cloud platforms, containerization, and modern IDEs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• Four (4) years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Provides input to system design including hardware/software trade-offs and requirements analysis.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Ruby and Go.
• Familiarity with IDEs (Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio, VS Code).
• Experience with Windows, Unix, Linux, macOS; Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), GitHub and ServiceNow; Spring, Angular and Bootstrap; Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB; Maven and Jenkins; Docker and Kubernetes; Git, SVN and CVS; AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
