Base-2 Solutions is seeking a seasoned software engineer to join our team in Hanover, MD. We develop next-generation technologies that support national defense, focusing on information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale systems, AI, NLP, and UI design.

Join us to tackle challenging problems with innovative solutions. Ideal candidates have 20 years of software engineering experience, a CS degree, and active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years experience as a software engineer is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provides input to system design including trade-offs and use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development.
