Marotta Controls, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of Automated Test Equipment for the Power and Control Actuation Systems business unit.

The candidate should have a background in software engineering with embedded software development and/or hardware automation. Responsibilities include documenting system requirements, designing test plans, and creating high-level GUI Windows applications in C# with a database backend.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience in embedded software and test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Automated Test Equipment software for PAS.
• Create System Requirements Documentation and test plans.
• Design and implement GUI Windows applications in C#.
• Troubleshoot test equipment and coordinate with vendors.

Position Summary

Marotta Controls isseekingaSoftwareEngineer to support the development ofAutomated Test Equipment (ATE) for the Power and Control Actuation Systems (PAS) business unit. Theapplicantshould have a background inSoftwareEngineering withexperience in embedded software developmentand/orhardware (equipment)automation.

Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of System Requirements Documentation andprovide support through the development lifecycle(PDR, CDR, Validation, Fielding).
• Develop Software Design Documents (including Test Plans).
• Design and Implement High Level GUIWindows Applications in C#using Visual Studio IDE. Database Backend (MS SQL, SQLite,etc.) experience is a plus.
• Designand implementfirmwareinCusingTI’s Code Composer.
• Experience with LabView (Real Time and LabView FPGA is a plus)
• Able to use and programvarious laboratory equipment (e.power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)used toautomate testing.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and diagnose issues with test equipment systems anddetermineroot cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
• Work with outside vendors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience designing test systemsutilizinga Test Console and Interface Test Adapter (ITA)
• Must be a US Citizen

This position is at our Parsippany NJ office location.

Pay Range

$137,000- $150,000 per year
