Job summary

ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Software Engineer III to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise applications. You will mentor junior engineers, review code, and help shape technical strategy across UI/UX, APIs, and microservices.

The role involves stakeholder engagement, lifecycle management, and driving DevOps practices. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is eligible, with a senior-level focus on scalable solutions and documentation.

Qualifications

• Masters or 5+ years experience in related field combined with degree.
• Requires three years with: Front-end and back-end development, .NET Core, Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, UI/UX.
• Experience designing APIs and microservices, API Gateway, and integration platforms.
• Mobile development with Xamarin and MAUI; App Store Connect and Google Play Console experience.
• DevOps practices including SecDevOps, CI/CD, and SDLC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and development across multiple systems within the platform.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure system stability.
• Drive cross-team technical initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Mentor Software Engineers I and II and conduct code reviews.
• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and plan future needs.
• Develop and maintain advanced application programs with testing and documentation.
