Job summary

Braviant Holdings is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the modernization of our online lending platform Balance Credit. You will lead engineers through the full Agile SDLC, collaborating with Product Management to translate requirements into scalable solutions using Java, Spring, and AWS.

The role emphasizes ownership, architectural collaboration with the VP of Technology, and delivering high-quality, scalable services in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Programming, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on programming experience using Java.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams of engineers in an Agile software environment.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Solid understanding of REST, microservices, MVC and architectural layers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of engineers through Braviant's Agile SDLC from estimation sessions to production deployment and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Management to analyze requirements and design implementable solutions for the engineering squad.
• Create technical requirements, software design specifications and architectural artifacts.
• Modernize testing with AI-driven spec development of testing functionality on CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure code adheres to designs through reviews while continuing to contribute code.
• Analyze squad performance and drive improvements based on retrospectives.
• Work independently and with other architects and engineers.
