Job summary

Braviant Holdings seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to modernization of the codebase and lead engineers through an Agile SDLC for the Balance Credit platform.

The role requires strong Java, Spring, Postgres, and AWS skills, with hands-on development and mentorship of a team in Addison, TX, onsite five days a week. Collaboration with product management and architecture teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/CE, IT, IS, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on Java programming.
• 3+ years leading engineers in Agile environments.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, Postgres, AWS.
• Solid understanding of REST, Microservices, MVC and architectural layers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of engineers through Braviant’s Agile SDLC from planning to production deployment and post-production support.
• Collaborate with Product Management to analyze requirements and design solutions for the engineering squad.
• Create technical requirements and architectural artifacts.
• Help modernize testing and automation, contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure code adheres to designs via code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Improve squad performance through retrospectives and actionable follow-ups.
• Work independently and with other architects and engineers.
