Praxy in New York, NY is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer for a hybrid role with 2 days remote.

You will build and maintain the company’s compliance surveillance infrastructure, collaborating with quantitative engineers and Compliance stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable software designs. Responsibilities include architecting large-scale data pipelines and surveillance models for multi-terabyte datasets, designing schemas and queries, and ensuring regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Three years of software engineering experience with Python.
• Experience building production-grade Python apps and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the company’s compliance surveillance infrastructure.
• Collaborate with quantitative engineers, surveillance model developers, and Compliance stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Architect large-scale data pipelines and surveillance models for multi-terabyte datasets.
• Design database schemas and queries to efficiently handle big data.
• Ensure systems meet regulatory and operational requirements and are auditable.
• Document methodologies for regulatory examinations.
