Job summary

TD in New York seeks a Lead Developer to design, develop, and maintain application development frameworks that support scalable, secure, and reusable solutions across the Compliance, Surveillance and Supervision domains.

The role focuses on hands-on Java-based micro-services, data modeling, batch and streaming architectures, and coordinating vendor and TD integration projects within the financial services landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years of related software development experience.
• Cloud technologies and architectures experience.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle and market data.
• Experience with large unstructured data sets and NLP/Generative AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and enhancement of development frameworks, starting with foundational building blocks, utilities, and wrappers.
• Expand to development and maintenance of critical services which support all deployments across the stream.
• Develop policies, guiding principles and standards to govern how developers across the Compliance area can contribute to this framework.
• Lead knowledge transfer with functional development teams to ensure the right foundational capabilities are delivered in-line with expectations.
• Review detailed solution designs to ensure it meets requirements and complies with the architectural and security standards with TDS.
• Champion the creation of product-based CI/CD pipelines for the creation of release artifacts.
• Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input and manage projects / initiatives by directing assigned resources, communicating project status, and providing timely escalation of issues.
• Provide expert consultation and participate as a technical subject matter expert on projects of moderate to high risk and complexity.
• Build consensus and facilitate collaboration and decision‑making within/across technical and functional stakeholders to ensure consistent application of IT strategy and compliance with architecture framework.
• Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in achieving business objectives and providing client services.
