Job summary

Aalyria is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Spacetime team, shaping core data models and APIs for our space-grade communications networks. You will design, implement, test, and operate foundational systems that other teams rely on as the company grows.

You will build durable abstractions for heterogeneous networks and ensure compatibility across production interfaces, with a focus on scalable, high-quality software in a remote-friendly environment across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of production software development experience.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, testing and debugging.
• Experience designing durable APIs, schemas, or domain models.
• Experience evolving production interfaces while maintaining compatibility.
• Proficiency in Golang, C/C++, Rust, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve core data models for complex communications networks.
• Design, build, and operate the APIs through which users and systems interact with Spacetime.
• Develop durable abstractions for heterogeneous physical and logical networks.
• Maintain the quality, compatibility, consistency, and performance of core product models and interfaces.
