Job summary
Qualis, LLC seeks a Principal Software Engineer to work in the Space Domain (SDA) and Missile Warning (MW) missions in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on research, design, and development of software with hardware interfaces, driving SDLC activities and technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in embedded, real-time software, software architecture, and mentoring.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Extensive experience architecting and developing integrated hardware/software systems.
- Experience providing technical direction across engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to guide complex software engineering efforts across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop software in conjunction with hardware interfaces.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Define and implement software solutions for target applications and simulations.
- Guide technical direction and architecture across software, hardware, and systems teams.
- Coordinate interfaces between software and hardware, including RF control and data synchronization.
