Job summary

Qualis, LLC is seeking a full-time Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL to design, develop, and test software for space domain and missile warning capabilities. You will work across software and hardware teams, focusing on real-time, embedded applications and RF interface integration. The role requires U.S.

citizenship and U.S. DoD Secret clearance eligibility, with a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience working with government customers including USAF and USSF.
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; or two years of post-secondary education/Associate Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating software, performing verification and testing, and troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform research, design, and development of software in conjunction with hardware interfaces.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to software development for target applications.
• Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, including RF hardware control and simulation-time synchronization.
• Develop software test procedures and document test results against software requirements.
• Coordinate software engineering activities with hardware, systems, test, and other engineering disciplines.
• Implement and test integrations with radar and communication models and external APIs.
