Job summary

Leidos seeks a Software Engineer SME to influence architecture, modernization, and mission-critical software for Intelligence Community customers. You will act as a technical authority, mentor engineers, and shape software direction across teams while delivering secure, scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with product, security, and program leadership to ensure alignment with mission requirements and timelines, driving continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract and an active clearance is expected.
• Extensive software engineering, architecture, and application development experience.
• Experience as Scrum Master or Agile team lead coordinating software activities.
• Strong Scrum, Agile delivery, backlog management, and sprint execution knowledge.
• Collaborates with Product Owners and stakeholders to align priorities and milestones.
• Proven ability to lead technical direction across teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical leader and Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams.
• Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
• Align sprint objectives with customer mission requirements and milestones.
• Identify cross-team dependencies, blockers, and delivery risks.
• Champion CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps and incremental delivery.
• Provide technical leadership across full software lifecycle and architecture.
• Lead architecture reviews and evaluate approaches by value, risk, cost, feasibility.
• Guide APIs, microservices, data services, and distributed systems development.
