Job summary

Cerby is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Extension team to own and scale the browser extension that manages credentials across sites, featuring MV3 service workers and cross-browser delivery (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). You will drive security, performance, and user experience end-to-end.

You will lead with a security-first mindset, collaborate across product, engineering, and design, and embrace AI-assisted tools to boost efficiency and impact in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling SaaS applications.
• Experience with distributed applications.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct security-first code reviews.
• Strong frontend skills with React and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance extension features.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and UX designers to deliver high-quality features.
• Write clean, maintainable code and promote best practices across the team, including AI tool integration.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge to improve processes.
• Champion security-first approach across frontend and extension codebase.
• Support remote collaboration and effective cross-time-zone teamwork.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to documentation to accelerate learning.
