Job summary

VIA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to architect secure, scalable software underpinning its mission, leveraging Web3 and privacy-preserving tech. You will influence how data is protected and shared, delivering high-quality, robust software across complex data problems.

You will lead technical discussions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape SDLC, CI/CD, and testing strategies while staying ahead of privacy and cryptography advancements.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of full-stack or backend development experience.
• Experience with cloud-based microservices and cryptography techniques.
• Proficient in designing RESTful APIs (FastAPI) secured by OAuth2.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and in-memory data storage.
• Experience with Docker; familiarity with CI/CD and Agile leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure, scalable microservices.
• Integrate Web3 components and privacy-preserving tech.
• Define, document, and drive adoption of end-to-end SDLC processes.
• Lead the creation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Develop and execute comprehensive automated testing strategies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployed applications.
• Provide privacy and security leadership and communicate designs clearly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and outcomes.
• Rapidly grasp new concepts and apply them to complex challenges.
• Continuously explore advancements in privacy, cryptography, and distributed systems.
