Job summary

Bespoke Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, build, and operate a mission-critical, multi-tenant platform for managing large-scale fleets of embedded devices across highly secure and enterprise network environments.

We build infrastructure at the intersection of distributed systems, security engineering, and fleet operations—ensuring reliability, integrity, and compliance. This role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph after hire.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading design or architecture (reliability, scaling) of systems.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead.
• Strong background in security-hardened system design (PKI, mutual TLS, signing).
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) incl. RLS/policy-based access.
• Current, active Top Secret government clearance with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop a decomposed, microservices-based platform with scalable subsystems (fleet management, rule execution, device communication, logging, security, UI).
• Design secure inter-service communication across REST/mTLS and high-throughput data plane surfaces.
• Build cryptographic trust infrastructure with multiple CA hierarchies and offline validation.
• Implement multi-tenant data isolation using ABAC, row-level security, and query rewriting.
• Develop cryptographic integrity mechanisms for config/audit data (chained signatures, tamper-evident logging).
• Engineer break-glass workflows with time-bounded credentials and segregated audit trails.
• Ensure cryptographic operations use FIPS 140‑2 Level 3 KMS with strict key isolation.
• Design reconciliation where edge devices remain source of truth, with synchronized backend projections.
