Job summary

AnaVation, LLC in Chantilly, VA seeks a Senior Developer II to design, build, and maintain secure, mission-critical applications for federal operations. You will mentor junior engineers, guide architecture, and work with investigators and cyber specialists to translate mission needs into robust software solutions, supporting cloud deployments and DevSecOps aligned with government requirements.

This role is mostly remote with occasional onsite visits to DC/Northern Virginia; eligibility for

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of enterprise software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and securecoding methodologies.
• Experience with government environments requiring audit compliance, CJIS standards, or privileged access controls.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud services and FedRAMPaligned platforms.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail
• Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for a Secret clearance. DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) suitability is required to begin support. Following EOD approval, candidates will be processed for, and must successfully obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop secure enterprise applications supporting investigative workflows.
• Implement audit logging, privilegedaccess controls, and other federal security requirements.
• Ensure software maintainability, reliability, and compliance with securedevelopment standards.
• Lead development activities and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Diagnose complex issues and optimize system performance.
• Contribute to documentation, design reviews, and codequality standards.
• Support cloud deployments and DevSecOps pipelines.
