Job summary

Meta in Seattle is seeking a senior security software engineer to build autonomous AI-powered security systems across IAM, product security, threat detection, and response. You will work with engineers, product managers, and program managers to embed secure-by-design principles throughout the AI/ML lifecycle and across Meta's technology stack.

You will lead architectural initiatives, mentor peers, and help scale secure infrastructure while balancing security with rapid innovation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of programming experience or 4+ years with a PhD
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated experience driving change within an organization and leading complex technical projects
• Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative application experiences
• Implement custom user interfaces using the latest programming techniques and technologies
• Analyze and optimize code for security, quality, efficiency, and performance
• Set direction and goals for teams, lead major initiatives, mentor peers, onboard new team members
• Architect secure, efficient, and scalable systems for complex applications
• Identify and resolve security, performance, and scalability issues, reduce technical debt
• Work on a variety of coding languages and technologies
• Establish ownership of components and end-to-end understanding
