Job summary

Meta is seeking Security Engineers for its Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) organization. You will combine deep security expertise with applied AI, building novel AI-powered defenses and enabling scalable, AI-native security systems across teams.

You will solve complex problems, lead adversarial research programs, and drive platform-level AI security decisions at Meta’s scale while mentoring peers and coordinating with leadership to advance Trust and Safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of hands-on security engineering experience across security domains.
• Deep attacker-tactics expertise and state-of-the-art capabilities.
• Proficiency in Python or Rust.
• Experience architecting security systems at scale.
• Ability to drive ambiguous problem spaces with impact.
• Experience aligning across multiple teams and partners.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve ambiguous problems in Security, Trust, or Safety domains.
• Architect security systems and platform-level AI-driven security solutions.
• Lead adversarial research, threat intelligence, and detection capabilities augmented by AI.
• Define scalable methodologies to improve AI-enabled security models.
• Mentor engineers and promote security engineering best practices.
• Communicate updates to leadership and disseminate findings internally.
