Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Software Engineer for an Internal Research and Development (IRAD) team. You will work in a collaborative environment to understand system requirements, create and implement capabilities and algorithms to support critical DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field with 14 years of experience, or Master’s with 12 years, or 10 years with a PhD.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required to start.
• Experience developing software in C++ or Java.
• Experience with MATLAB and/or Python.
• Unix/Linux OS experience and containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work in an in-person/closed-area environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand system requirements and implement new capabilities and algorithms.
• Collaborate to review requirements and test cases for software capability.
• Contribute to IRAD projects and support software development efforts.
