Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking mid-level to senior engineers to develop, integrate, and sustain satellite ground software at our Dulles, VA and McLean, VA campuses. The role focuses on full-stack development across OS, platform, and mission-specific layers using Python, C++, and Postgres.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and several years of software development experience.
• Demonstrated software development experience with Python and C++.
• Strong Bash scripting skills and familiarity with software tooling.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate satellite ground software across OS, platform, and mission layers.
• Develop client/server applications and services using OO architectures and message-based data exchange.
• Work with Python, C++, PostgreSQL, Ansible, cloud provisioning, PKI and static analysis tooling.
• Support ground software deployments, tests, and remediation of defects.
• Assist with ground segment software installation in development, test and operational environments.
• Contribute to test automation and respond to customer change requests.
