Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking mid‑level to senior software engineers to join the Mission Planning & Scheduling Ground Software team on site at the Dulles, VA campus. Roles focus on development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of satellite ground software with emphasis on mission planning and scheduling for space missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) with 5+ years experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or PhD and 1 year.
• Experience in Python, C++, Bash scripting.
• U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform full‑stack development for ground systems that plan and execute space missions at OS, platform, and mission level.
• Develop mission planning and scheduling capabilities including passes planning and schedule generation.
• Build client/server applications and services using service‑oriented architectures and data exchange.
• Integrate ephemeris, constraints, and operations rules into planning tools.
• Configure and deploy ground segment software across environments (operational, development, test).
• Provide support during launch and early operations (LEOP) for MPS functions.
