Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking mid-level and senior Software Engineers to develop, integrate, deploy, and sustain satellite ground software on our Dulles, VA campus.

Positions require Top Secret clearance at application and focus on full stack development across OS, platform, and mission-specific layers. The role involves Python, C++, Bash scripting, and tools like PostgreSQL and Ansible, with opportunities to work across cloud provisioning and secure communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally CS or Engineering) and 5 years of experience; or master’s degree and 3 years.
• Demonstrated software development experience.
• Python application development, C++, Bash scripting experience.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• A current or active Top-Secret clearance is required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Full stack development at the OS, platform, and mission software layer.
• Develop client and server applications using service- or object-oriented architectures.
• Applications span Python, C++, Postgres, Ansible, cloud provisioning, PKI, and static analysis.
• Self-starter capable of making decisions with budget and schedule in mind.
• Support ground software operations, configurations, and troubleshooting of software and hardware.
• Test automation and acceptance events, including running tests.
