Job summary

Northrop Grumman invites engineers to join the Mission Planning & Scheduling Ground Software team at the Dulles, VA campus. The roles focus on development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of satellite ground software with emphasis on mission planning, scheduling, and operations, requiring a Top Secret clearance at application.

We seek mid‑level to senior engineers with strong Python and C++ skills, Bash scripting, and experience in ground systems and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 5+ years of experience; OR a Master’s degree and 3 years; OR 1 year with PhD.
• U.S. Citizenship and a current or active Top Secret clearance required at time of application.
• Demonstrated software development experience with Python, C++, and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Perform full‑stack development for ground systems spanning OS, platform, and mission-unique software layers.
• Develop mission planning and scheduling capabilities, including pass planning and schedule generation.
• Build and integrate applications using service-oriented architectures and data exchange patterns.
