Job summary

Bluebird Fiber, a premier Midwest fiber telecommunications provider, seeks a Software Developer to translate business needs into robust software across sales, installation, and customer interaction platforms. You will push weekly code updates, collaborate with system integration teams, and help build state-of-the-art solutions for internal teams and clients.

You will design, refine, develop, test, and implement processes with an emphasis on scalable data models, web services, and integration

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an IT environment.
• 3+ years on Linux systems.
• 2+ years Python, JSON, shell scripting.
• 2+ years OO programming (Java or C#).
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases & administration preferred.
• Salesforce programming: Apex, SOQL, Visualforce; API knowledge helpful.
• Web services development (SOAP/REST) and HTML/JS familiarity.
• Experience with SDLC/Agile methodologies and cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Lead Salesforce implementations including custom solutions and integrations.
• Write server-side Python within MVC framework for data processing.
• Design data models and use PostgreSQL for persistence.
• Maintain Linux servers, system administration, and support.
• Contribute to software specs, requirements analysis, and proofs-of-concept.
• Track issues, bugs, and feature requests; assist in testing and release.
• Adhere to coding standards and perform code reviews.
