Job summary

Bluebird Fiber is seeking a Software Developer to translate business requirements into robust software across sales, installation, and customer interactions. You will contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment of applications used by internal teams and thousands of clients.

You will work with Linux, Python, JSON, and SQL in a fast-paced environment with weekly code pushes, Salesforce integration, and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an IT environment.
• 3+ years Linux experience.
• 2+ years Python, JSON and shell scripting.
• 2+ years OO programming in Java or C#.
• PostgreSQL databases & administration preferred.
• Salesforce programming: Apex, triggers, unit tests, SOQL, Visual Force, Force.com.
• Web services development or Salesforce API (REST/SOAP).
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript (ES5) and frameworks (AngularJS, React).
• Experience with web apps and HTTP web services (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with full SDLC and agile methods.
• Strong communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Telecommunications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into well-designed solutions on the platform.
• Lead Salesforce.com implementations including custom solutions and integrations; manage scope and client expectations.
• Write server-side Python code within an MVC framework for data persistence and processing.
• Design and implement data models; utilize PostgreSQL for persistence.
• Ongoing Linux servers and systems administration and support.
• Participate in software specification, gap analysis, and requirements analysis.
• Develop proofs-of-concept to confirm requirements.
• Log, track, and manage issues, bugs, and enhancements.
• Participate in software release and end-user training and support.
• Adhere to coding standards; write maintainable code.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high quality and design patterns.
• Follow project plans to meet changing needs.
