Job summary

Latitude AI is building the ADAS platform for Ford's autonomous roadmap. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Runtime Infrastructure Frameworks team, shaping the core execution and messaging frameworks across embedded and Linux systems.

You will design, develop, and test software that powers autonomy applications and ensures their safe, reliable operation in a distributed system. You will work with systems engineering, autonomy, onboard platforms, and project management to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Proven embedded/software development experience on resource-constrained compute platforms
• At least 5 years of C++11+ experience in a systems programming role
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments
• Strong ability to communicate designs via documents/diagrams/presentations
• Excellent teamwork in cross-functional settings

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test reliable, high-performance software for autonomy functions
• Develop tools to gain insight into system performance and behavior
• Collaborate with autonomy teams to ensure integration with runtime infrastructure
• Create automated unit and integration tests to verify functionality
• Work with the simulation team to test runtime in virtual environments
• Contribute to software architecture within own area of ownership
• Coordinate with Product Security and Functional Safety teams to meet automotive safety standards
