Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.
• 5+ years proven experience developing software in a professional capacity.
• 3+ years proven experience implementing and shipping high-scale, high-performance cloud-based distributed systems with API implementations (REST, RPC, GraphQL).
• 3+ years proven experience using relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB) with schema design and query optimization.
• Proficiency with Java, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Leading and delivering world-class engineering products in a fast-paced environment.
• Building high-throughput, high-performance, reliable, and global payment services for Apple Online Store.
• Architecting and leading integration with Apple Pay, Apple Card, Wallet, and international payment vendors.
• Designing and implementing secure, next-generation e-commerce payment instruments.
• Designing and building server-side applications, RESTful services, and security infrastructure for Apple Online Store.
• Handling production data in line with privacy policies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design solutions extending beyond the Apple Online Store.
