Pearson is expanding its OnVUE engineering capability in the United States, seeking senior full-stack engineers who can design, build and operate complex enterprise software. You will work on Java, Spring Boot, Angular and REST APIs, contributing to architecture, quality, and platform modernization.

Roles include senior individual contributor and squad lead, with hands-on development and delivery leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional software development experience.
• Full-stack capability across Java, Spring Boot, Angular and REST APIs.
• Experience designing and delivering complex distributed enterprise systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilités

• Design and deliver complex, distributed full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular and REST APIs.
• Build and operate highly available, scalable enterprise applications.
• Contribute to technical design, estimation, roadmap planning and platform modernisation.
• Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, reliability concerns and operational risk.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for critical production issues.
• Partner with Quality Engineering to strengthen testing, automation and quality by design.
• Support release planning, deployment, observability, security and operational readiness.
• Mentor engineers, review technical work and champion effective engineering practices.
• For the squad‑lead pathway, coordinate day‑to‑day squad delivery, remove blockers and take responsibility for team outcomes.
