Job summary

Ancestry.com Operations Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Draper, UT to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications. You will work with JavaScript, React, Redux, and NodeJS to deliver secure, high-performance systems in a SCRUM environment.

Responsibilities include solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring robust testability and performance. 100% telecommuting from anywhere within the U.S. is available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 18 months of progressively responsible experience with a Master’s, or 3 years with a Bachelor's.
• strong JavaScript, HTML, CSS background and web server experience.
• Experience with React/Redux, NodeJS, and RESTful services in a microservices setup.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, enhance, and maintain highly scalable, secure web sites.
• Solve advanced technical challenges across data structures and design patterns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to vet technical requirements and ensure performance.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in a SCRUM environment.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
