Responsibilities

• Utilize AI tools to assist with development tasks
• Create secure, high‑performance RESTful web services in Java that can handle a large volume of traffic
• Understand and improve the existing code base, enhancing future designs
• Improve data connectivity across systems through effective solutions
• Act as an integral member of a scrum team, contributing to planning and daily collaboration
• Write clean, modular, well‑documented code with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Produce unit and integration tests, make commits, and submit pull requests following best practices
• Leverage Linux, Bash, and Git to support development workflow
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop scalable, resilient, and maintainable solutions that meet business needs
• Analyze data quality, system issues, and data patterns to drive improvements
• Optimize AWS services for high‑performance computing, data storage, and cost‑effective cloud infrastructure
• Apply experience with vector databases and embedding models as a plus

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Java
• Proficiency with cloud technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (preferably Aurora/MySQL)
• Familiarity with deployment and platform technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, EKS, etc.
• Strong knowledge of agile software development practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s or equivalent 4‑year degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

Compensation

Base salary range: $111,690 - $139,590, with eligibility for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision. Salary may vary by geographic region and experience.
