Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Expertise designing and optimizing PostgreSQL data models
• Hands-on experience building GraphQL APIs
• Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with CloudFormation or Serverless Framework
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure handling of sensitive data
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and building resilient distributed systems

This fully remote opportunity is with a fast-growing fintech startup building modern payment infrastructure used by businesses around the world. The company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop and scale mission-critical systems using TypeScript, Node.js, AWS Lambda, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL in a full-time capacity.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Expertise designing and optimizing PostgreSQL data models
• Hands-on experience building GraphQL APIs
• Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with CloudFormation or Serverless Framework

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience building or maintaining high-scale APIs
• Background in fintech, payments, compliance, tax, or banking systems

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Sentry and OpenTelemetry
• Experience supporting international users, multi-currency payments, or cross-border transactions
