Job summary

Vertafore is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to shape the experience of key customers across our core products. You will collaborate with Customer Support, Account Management, Product Management, and Development to guide customers and contribute to team growth.

You will work with a fast-paced team of analysts, developers, and QA professionals on multiple projects, communicating clearly to meet customer expectations with high quality and minimal rework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Java/.NET and common frameworks.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• 3+ years in security best practices for software and data platforms.
• 3+ years of experience with RESTful APIs.
• 3+ years of enterprise design/architecture implementation.
• Experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQLServer, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Cassandra).
• Experience with Identity and Access Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Innovates and crafts clean code.
• Describe technical concepts to customers and recommend solutions.
• Review information with business analysts and document designs.
• Architect and develop forward-thinking specifications and solutions.
• Develop SQL objects (tables, views, stored procedures, indexes) and optimize performance.
• Extract, transform and load data as needed.
• Deploy solutions in non-production and assist with production releases.
• Lead junior developers and provide feedback to leadership.
• Collaborate across Stack to troubleshoot complex issues.
