Job summary

Vertafore in Denver is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape and enhance the experience of our global insurance customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Customer Support, Account Management, Product Management and Product Development to deliver high-impact features.

You will build full-stack features, mentor junior developers, and contribute to AI-enabled product capabilities using Python and modern web technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field.
• 6+ years of professional Python web framework experience (Django or similar).
• 5+ years of RESTful APIs experience.
• 4+ years of Vue 3 or a similar reactive JS framework.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Experience integrating large language models or generative AI capabilities into production software.
• 3+ years in security best practices for software and data platforms.
• 3+ years of enterprise-level design/architecture experience.
• 3+ years with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack features spanning frontend and backend.
• Innovate and write clean, maintainable code.
• Document, architect, and implement technical specifications from business requirements.
• Design interfaces, write unit tests, and maintain code quality.
• Lead junior developers and provide feedback to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide customer-focused solutions.
• Design and enforce development standards, processes, and governance.
• Contribute to AI-enabled product features using Python-based tools.
