Job summary

Vertafore, based in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to shape the experience of core customers. You will collaborate with Support, Account Management, Product and Development, guiding customers and driving team growth.

You will mentor engineers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver scalable, high-performance software across the tech stack, with emphasis on reliability and collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with Java/.NET and common frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise cloud applications using AWS or Azure.
• 5+ years of experience with Restful APIs and software design at an enterprise level.
• Experience with Kubernetes or similar technology and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Innovates and crafts clean code for high-availability systems.
• Lead and mitigate impact of technical decisions across the product.
• Coordinate across design and development teams for pragmatic solutions.
• Mentor multiple teams and foster community of practice across the org.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, CI/CD, and best practices.
