Swiftly, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable cloud-based services and real-time data processing pipelines. You will work across the stack with Product Managers, Designers, and teammates to deliver end-to-end experiences for transit agencies and customers.

Proficiency in Java/Python/Node.js, Vue.js frontend, and APIs will help you thrive. The role emphasizes collaboration, scalable architecture, and applying AI tools to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience building real-time data processing systems.
• Comfort applying modern AI tools to accelerate development.
• Full-stack skills: strong in at least one of Java, Python, or Node/JavaScript.
• Experience building and consuming APIs; proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and services (AWS).

• Design, build, maintain, and extend products, features, and functionality that solve real customer problems.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to discover and validate customer needs and technical approaches.
• Prototype quickly to de-risk projects and iterate ideas into production-ready solutions.
• Deliver incremental value by breaking down work and demoing progress.
• Communicate technical trade-offs and document architectural decisions.
• Apply modern software engineering practices to deliver robust systems.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and collaboration.
• Take ownership of code and product domain, and participate in retrospectives.
