Job summary

TransCore in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our software development team. The role focuses on .NET/C# projects, Linux environments, and Angular frontend work across the full software lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with multi-threaded applications, APIs/microservices, Docker, and AI-assisted development tools. You will mentor peers, contribute to toll data systems, and help deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 10 to 13 years of professional software development experience in C#/.NET Core, Linux, and Angular.
• Strong understanding of Angular, Typescript, and modern UI frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools and prompt design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and enhance software systems processing real-time toll data.
• Build and maintain scalable, multi-threaded services using C#, .NET and APIs.
• Participate in daily Scrum and collaborate to deliver sprint goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and support post-deployment issues.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications and AI-enabled features.
• Document code and assist in user manuals and guides.
