Job summary

TransCore is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our finance-focused software team in Round Rock, Texas. You will design, develop, test, and deploy .NET-based real-time toll data processing systems and mentor a small, focused team.

Work spans backend services, APIs, and Angular front-ends, with opportunities to apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and innovation. A strong emphasis on scalable architectures and high-quality code is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or related field; MS preferred.
• 10–13 years of professional software development with C#/.NET Core.
• Linux-based development and Angular frontend experience.
• Strong understanding of OO/SOA and API/microservices.
• SQL Server with T‑SQL, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Docker container experience and AI-assisted tooling.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and enhance real-time toll data software.
• Build scalable, multi-threaded services and APIs in C#/.NET.
• Mentor junior to mid-level engineers and participate in Scrum.
• Develop Angular front-ends for real-time data exposure.
• Assist in deployments, bug fixes, and performance tuning.
• Apply AI/LLM capabilities to accelerate delivery and features.
