Job summary

EtaPRO LLC, a Toshiba Group Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our EtaPRO Software Engineering team in Amherst, NY. The Senior Software Engineer provides advanced technical leadership in the design, development, and evolution of EtaPRO software solutions.

You will mentor engineers across levels, influence architecture, and help ensure secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery in a fast-moving, global energy context.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver complex software solutions.
• Strong leadership in architecture, design, and delivery of large systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical initiatives.
• Experience evaluating trade-offs for scalability, security, and performance.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex systems, features, and integrations.
• Drive architectural decisions and design patterns for scalable solutions.
• Own major technical areas and subsystems within EtaPRO.
• Mentor engineers and guide software quality and best practices.
• Partner with product, QA, DevOps, and leadership on planning and delivery.
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and capability development.
